A pattern printing method which exploits the interaction between pigments and water. Different coloured ink is poured on a water surface, the pigments that are dissolved in organic solvent, floats on the water. The ink dries out rather quickly but if timed well and stirred by a toothpick, a pattern or form can be made. Although tedious and error-prone the marbling process, the resulted ‘waves’ are delicate and resembles the movement of water.
